Syntax
Description
The xdr_char subroutine is a filter primitive that translates between C language characters and their external representations.
Note: Encoded
characters are not packed and occupy 4 bytes each. For arrays of characters,
the programmer should consider using the xdr_bytes, xdr_opaque,
or xdr_string routine.
