cdumount Command
Purpose
Unmounts a previously mounted file system on a device managed by cdromd.
Syntax
cdumount [ -q ] [ -h | -? ] DeviceName
Description
The cdumount command sends an appropriate command to the cdromd daemon which tries to unmount the file system on the device specified by DeviceName.
The cdumount command doesn't eject the media.
Flags
Item | Description |

-h or -? | Displays the command usage message. |
-q | Specifies silent mode: Doesn't print any information or error messages. |
DeviceName | Specifies the name of the device. |
Exit Status
This command returns the following exit values:
- 0
- No error.
- >0
- An error occurred.
Examples
- To unmount a file system on cd0 enter:
cdumount cd0
- To unmount a file system on cd1 without any printed error
messages, enter:
cdumount -q cd1
