Special Lowercase Letters
One lowercase letter may map to more than one base letter. For example, in
Turkish, I maps to both i and a dotless i.
The special lowercase letters table contains the following information:
- The Unicode values (UTF-16) of each uppercase and lowercase character (Upper1,
Upper2, Lower1, Lower2,)
- Glyphs for each uppercase and lowercase character
Searching for a Special Lowercase Letter
You can search for an existing lowercase letter:
- Click Search. The Table Search dialog box will appear.
- Enter a Unicode value (UTF-16) or a glyph in the appropriate field of the
Table Search dialog box.
- Click Go.
If the sort criterion has a unique result, then the row will appear in the
stationary dialog box. If it is not unique, then the first occurrence will be
highlighted in the special lowercase letters table.
Adding, Modifying, and Deleting Information
You can add a special lowercase letter:
- Click New.
- Specify the Unicode values (UTF-16) and the glyphs for the lowercase and
uppercase characters in the appropriate fields of the stationary dialog box.
- Click Add.
You can modify existing information:
- Click the row that you want to modify. It will appear in the stationary
dialog box.
- Make the desired changes.
- Click Modify.
You can delete a row:
- Click the row that you want to delete. It will appear in the stationary
dialog box.
- Click Delete.
