Setting the Territory Definition

You can choose a territory definition from a list of pre-defined territories or you can define a new territory. The pre-defined territories are listed in the Existing Definitions dialog box that appears when you click Show Existing Definitions. Oracle Locale Builder allows you to view all the characteristics of any pre-defined territory.

You can define a new territory by modifying an existing territory or by entering all the data for a new territory. See Defining a New Territory.

Each territory has several characteristics:

• Calendar format
• Date and time format
• Number format
• Monetary format
• Number and currency formats
• Common locale information
