Major/Minor Sort Mapping
For each character, the major/minor sort mapping shows:
- The Unicode value (UTF-16)
- The glyph
- The major sort value
- The minor sort value
Use the Table Sort Option menu at the bottom of the screen
to choose how to display the major/minor sort mapping. It can be displayed by:
- Ascending CodePoint (Unicode value)
- Descending CodePoint (Unicode value)
- Ascending Collation (sort)
- Descending Collation (sort)
Searching for a Major/Minor Sort Mapping
You can search for an existing major/minor sort mapping:
- Click Search. The Table Search dialog box will appear.
- Enter the Unicode value (UTF-16), the glyph, the major sort value, or the
minor sort value in the appropriate field of the Table Search dialog box.
- Click Go. If the sort criterion has a unique result, then
the row will appear in the stationary dialog box. If it is not unique, then
the first occurrence will be highlighted in the major/minor sort mapping table.
Adding, Modifying, and Deleting Information
You can add sort information for a character:
- Click New.
- Specify the Unicode value (UTF-16), the glyph, the major sort value, and
the minor sort value in the appropriate fields of the stationary dialog box.
- Click Add.
You can modify existing information:
- Click the row that you want to modify. It will appear in the stationary
dialog box.
- Make the desired changes.
- Click Modify.
You can delete a row:
- Click the row that you want to delete. It will appear in the stationary
dialog box.
- Click Delete.
