Common Information for a Language

You can display the following locale information for a language:

The information is generally displayed so that more common items are listed first. For example, when the language is MALAY, the common territories are MALAYSIA and INDONESIA. The common character sets are WE8ISO8859P1, WE8MSWIN1252, AL32UTF8, and WE8ISO8859P15. The common Windows character sets are the same, but WE8MSWIN1252 precedes WE8ISO8859P1 because it is more common in a Windows environment. The common linguistic sorts are MALAY, GENERIC_M, and BINARY.

Adding and Removing Common Information

You can add a territory, character set, Windows character set, or linguistic sort to the list of common territories, character sets, Windows character sets, or linguistic sorts:

  1. Highlight the desired item from the list of available items.
  2. Click the right-arrow button (>).

You can remove a territory, character set, Windows character set, or linguistic sort from the list of common territories, character sets, Windows character sets, or linguistic sorts:

  1. Highlight the item that you want to remove.
  2. Click the left-arrow button (<).
