Defining a New Monolingual Linguistic Sort

You can create a new monolingual linguistic sort based on an existing sort definition:

1. Click Show Existing Definitions.
2. Highlight a collation name.
3. Click Open.
4. Change the Collation Name to a unique name.
5. Change the Collation ID to a number between 1000 and 2000.
6. Modify desired characteristics such as Special Letters.
7. Save the new monolingual linguistic sort definition by choosing File > Save As, choosing the location in which to save the file, and clicking Save.

You can also create a new monolingual linguistic sort by entering data for each set of characteristics:

• Major/minor sort mapping
• Base letters
• Special letters
• Special uppercase letters
• Special lowercase letters
• Special base letters
• Combination letters
