Character Data Mapping

The character data mapping shows:

You can view and print the entire code chart for the local character set.

Searching for a Character Data Mapping

You can search for an existing character data mapping:

  1. Click Search. The Table Search dialog box will appear.
  2. Enter the local character value in the appropriate field of the Table Search dialog box and click the Enter key.
  3. Click Go. If there is a character data mapping that matches your search criterion, then the row appears in the stationary dialog box at the bottom of the screen.

Adding, Modifying, and Deleting Information

You can add characters to the character set:

  1. Click New.
  2. Specify the local character value, the glyph, and the Unicode value (UTF-16) in the appropriate fields of the stationary dialog box.
  3. Click Add.

You can also add characters to the character set by importing user-defined characters.

You can modify existing information:

  1. Click the row that you want to modify. It will appear in the stationary dialog box.
  2. Make the desired changes.
  3. Click Modify.

You can delete a row:

  1. Click the row that you want to delete. It will appear in the stationary dialog box.
  2. Click Delete.
