Use this page to provide a name and description of the database template.
The name you provide in the Name field identifies the template when it appears on the Database Templates page when you are creating a new database. For more information, see Database Templates.
Use the Description field to provide information about the purpose and features of databases created with the template. The description appears just below the template name when you click Show Details on the Database Templates page.
If you create a template from an existing database with structure as well as data, or if you create a template from an existing template that includes datafiles, an additional field appears on the Template Properties page.
Use the Template datafile field to provide the name and location of a compressed file that Database Configuration Assistant will create. This compressed file will contain all the data files required for the template you are creating.
You can use file location variables to identify the location of the template datafiles. To review the currently defined variables or add additional variables, click File Location Variables.
