Oracle Cluster Registry files are used to manage the cluster. They must be located on shared partitions that have identical paths on all nodes of the cluster. Oracle recommends that you provide redundancy for the OCR disks.
Choose one of the following OCR redundancy options:
Select Normal Redundancy or High Redundancy if you want to have Oracle Clusterware create the OCR, and create and manage additional OCR files for you. Normal Redundancy is the default option. Provide storage paths for the OCR files.
Select External Redundancy if you use an external hardware or software mirroring product, and you want to use it to provide additional OCR files for you. You should only select this option if you have another product that provides mirroring. If you select External Redundancy, then only specify the location for one OCR file.
When you have made your selection, click Next.
