Voting disks are used to manage the cluster. They must be located on shared file system locations that have identical paths on all nodes of the cluster. Oracle recommends that they have at least 280 MB of available space in each partition, and that you provide redundancy for the voting disks.
Choose one of the following voting disk redundancy options:
Select Normal Redundancy or High Redundancy if you want to have Oracle Clusterware create the voting disk, and create and manage additional voting disks for you. Normal Redundancy is the default option. Provide a storage path for the voting disk, and provide storage paths for the additional voting disks. Click Browse to select paths for the disks.
Select External Redundancy if you use an external hardware or software mirroring product, and you want to use it to provide additional voting disks for you. You should only select this option if you have another product that provides mirroring. If you select External Redundancy, then only specify the location for one voting disk. Click Browse to select paths for the disks.
