After you have completed a software-only Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a cluster installation, you can use the Oracle Grid Infrastructure configuration wizard either to configure your software, or to upgrade existing installations of Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) for a cluster.
Select from the following options:
Select this option to configure software-only installations on a set of nodes, so that you can activate the Oracle Clusterware software on these nodes.
Select this option to upgrade existing installations of prior release Oracle Clusterware or clustered Oracle ASM to the current release. You cannot use this option to upgrade Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a standalone server (Oracle Restart) or Oracle ASM for a standalone server.
