The Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) and its mirrors are used to manage the cluster. They must be located on shared file system partitions that have identical paths on all nodes of the cluster. Oracle recommends that they have at least 280 MB of available space in each partition, and that you provide redundancy for the OCR disks.
Choose one of the following OCR redundancy options.
Select Normal Redundancy if you want to create two mirrored OCR files, in addition to the OCR disk. This is the default option. Provide a storage path for the OCR, and a storage path for each of the OCR mirrors. Click Browse to select paths for the disks.
Select External Redundancy if you intend to use an external hardware or software mirroring product to provide redundancy for the OCR. You should only select this option if you have a mirroring technology. If you select External Redundancy, then specify only a single OCR location. Click Browse to select the disk path.
Select High Redundancy if you want to create three mirrored OCR files, in addition to the OCR. Provide a storage path for the OCR, and a storage path for each of the OCR mirrors. Click Browse to select paths for the disks.
