Managing All ASM Targets within a Cluster ASM From a Single Location

Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that the ASM administrator is logged into Enterprise Manager and cluster ASM has been already created using ASMCA utilities.

  2. Login to Enterprise Manager

  3. From the Targets menu, select All Targets.

  4. In the All Targets page, click on the cluster ASM target that you want to manage.

  5. To Startup/Shutdown member ASM instances: In the Cluster ASM Home page, click Startup/Shutdown to startup or shutdown the cluster ASM. You will need to provide Host credentials and ASM administrator credentials to perform these operations.

  6. To mount disk groups: Click on the Diskgroups tab in the Cluster ASM home page. Select the disk groups and click Mount. You will need to login as ASM administrator to perform this operation.

  7. To dismount disk groups: Click on the Diskgroups tab in the Cluster ASM home page. Select the disk groups and click Dismount. You will need to login as ASM administrator to perform this operation.

  8. From the Member ASM Instances table in the Cluster ASM homepage, click on any of the member ASM instances to navigate to their home pages and perform operations on the ASM instances.
