The Enterprise Manager patch cache stores the Oracle patches and patchsets that Enterprise Manager can stage or stage and apply to a host. Enterprise Manager allows you to specify a maximum size for the patch cache. When the patch cache exceeds the specified maximum size, Enterprise Manager automatically performs a purge operation and tries to delete old patches until the patch cache is smaller than the specified maximum size. To specify the maximum size of the patch cache:
Click Setup at the top of an Enterprise Manager page.
On the Setup page, click Patching Setup.
Enterprise Manager displays the Patching Setup page. Click Help for more information about specifying the maximum size of the patch cache.
