You can manually add a patch to the patch cache. You manually add a patch to the patch cache when you want to use Enterprise Manager to stage or stage and apply a patch on one or more hosts, and you know you will not have access to OracleMetaLink when you are ready to do the staging. Once the patch is in the patch cache, Enterprise Manager will allow you to stage it to any accessible host (any host on which the Oracle Management Agent is running). To manually add a patch to the patch cache, follow these steps:
In the Patching section on the Deployments page, click View Patch Cache.
Click Upload Patch File.
Enterprise Manager displays the Add Patch File to Patch Cache page. Click Help for more information about manually adding a patch to the patch cache.
As part of the process of manually adding a patch to the patch cache on the Add Patch File to Patch Cache page, you will be prompted to enter information in the Product Family and Product fields for the patch you are adding to the cache.
The Product Family and Product for Patches table shows the information to enter in the Product Family and Product fields on this page for Agent, Application Server, and Database patches.
