To use the graphical Topology Viewer, the following applications must be installed on your Windows operating system:
If either of these is not installed on the Windows operating system you are currently using, the Topology Viewer does not appear, but you can use text-based screens to create, edit, and view associations.
To add new associations while both creating and configuring a system:
From the Topology tab of the Create System page, click Add. The Add Association page appears.
Select the desired source and destination targets from the drop-down menus, then click Continue. The Topology page reappears, and displays your newly configured association in the table.
Repeat this process to add additional associations.
You can also add associations for existing systems from the Edit System page.
From the main Systems page, select the system in the Name column for which you want to add an association, then click Configure. The Edit System page appears.
Select the Topology tab, then click Add. The Add Association page appears. Proceed with step 2 above.
To remove associations while both creating and configuring a system:
The Topology page reappears, and displays your revised, current associations in the table.
Repeat this process to delete additional associations.
You can also remove associations for existing systems from the Edit System page.
From the main Systems page, select the system in the Name column for which you want to remove an association, then click Configure. The Edit System page appears.
Select the Topology tab, select the association you want to remove, then click Remove.
To edit an association, you first need to remove it and create it again with the desired values. Follow the procedure above in Removing Assocations, then follow the procedure in Adding Associations.
You can use the System Topology page to view associations, access the home pages of the targets, and view the availability of the targets. You cannot use this page to change existing associations or create new associations.
From the main Systems page, select the system in the Name column for the topology you want to view. The System Home page appears.
Select the Topology tab to display the System Topology page. By default, all of the associations appear in the table. See Filtering the List of Associations below to limit the list.
Click a Source Name or Destination Name link to view the home page for the selected link. Similarly, click the Status icon to view the availability for the target.
By default, the System Topology and Edit System Topology pages show all associations. If there is a long list of associations, you can filter the list by source and destination.
To filter the list by source, select Source from the drop-down list, then provide the exact source name and click Go. Enterprise Manager locates matches it finds and displays them in the table.
To filter the list by destination, select Destination from the drop-down list, then provide the exact destination name and click Go. Enterprise Manager locates matches it finds and displays them in the table.
Note: The search facility is case-insensitive.
