Represents the status of the Real Server. The status is determined by the result of the health check. If a health check is not defined for the Real Server, then Enterprise Manager tries to determine the status by opening a TCP connection to the Real Server. The following criteria is used to determine the status of the Real Server:
If the connection can be opened successfully in 3 seconds, then it marks the status as up.
If there is no response in 3 seconds, then it marks the status as unknown.
If the connection fails within 3 seconds, then it marks the status as down.
The rest of the information in this section is only valid for this metric when it appears in either the Enterprise Manager Grid Control or the Enterprise Manager Database Control (if applicable).
The following table shows how often the metric's value is collected and compared against the default thresholds. The 'Consecutive Number of Occurrences Preceding Notification' column indicates the consecutive number of times the comparison against thresholds should hold TRUE before an alert is generated.

For this metric you can set different warning and critical threshold values for each unique combination of "Real Server Group Name", "Real Server IP Address", and "Real Server Port" objects.
If warning or critical threshold values are currently set for any unique combination of "Real Server Group Name", "Real Server IP Address", and "Real Server Port" objects, those thresholds can be viewed on the Metric Detail page for this metric.
To specify or change warning or critical threshold values for each unique combination of "Real Server Group Name", "Real Server IP Address", and "Real Server Port" objects, use the Edit Thresholds page. See Editing Thresholds for information on accessing the Edit Thresholds page.
