Creating a Service

A service is a business process or application that provides a function to the end-users. In Enterprise Manager, you can create one or more service models that represent business functions.

To create a service model:

Click Targets and then click Services. Enterprise Manager displays a list of any services you have already created.

Note: If the Services subtab does not appear on the Targets tab, an administrator may have modified the Enterprise Manager preferences to remove the Services subtab. For more information, see Customizing Target Subtabs .

Select the type of service model you want to create (Web applications, Generic Service, Aggregate Service etc.) and click Add.

Enterprise Manager displays the Create Service Wizard, which guides you through the process of creating the type of service you have selected. For more information, click Help at any time while using the wizard.
