You can manage the performance of the Forms Application by monitoring the transaction performance or end-user performance. After you create a Forms Application target, you can begin monitoring the end-user performance of the Forms actions.
Before you can begin monitoring the performance experienced by your application end-users, you must perform the following steps:
| Step | Description | More Information |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Create a Forms Application target that contains the OracleAS Web Cache or Oracle HTTP Server / Apache HTTP Server targets. These targets must be a part of the system of the Forms Application. They must also be key components of your Forms Application or part of a key Redundancy Group. If you are using the Oracle HTTP Server, the Redundancy Group is referred to as the HTTP Server HA Group. | |
| 2 | Configure the Web server (OracleAS Web Cache or Oracle HTTP Server / Apache HTTP Server) so that it can be used for End-User Performance Monitoring. | Configuring Web Server for End-User Performance Monitoring |
| 3 | Configure the Forms server to enable End-User Performance Monitoring. | Configuring the Forms Server for End-User Performance Monitoring |
| 4 | Enable the collection of end-user performance data. |
