Recording a Forms Transaction

A Forms transaction consists of a set of user actions within a single application when using Forms. The actions usually represent a single goal that the user is trying to achieve. For example, an Update Employee Salary transaction may consist of several user actions like Open Salary Form, Update Salary Form, and Save Salary Form.

You can record multiple transactions (tests) on the Forms Application target and monitor these transactions periodically. To record and monitor a Forms transaction:

  1. Navigate to the Services main page and select a Forms Application target from the list.

  2. Click Configure.

Enterprise Manager displays the Monitoring Configuration page.

  1. Click Service Tests and Beacons.

  2. On the Service Tests and Beacons page, select a Forms Transaction (test) from the list and click Add or Edit.

Enterprise Manager displays the Create / Edit Service Test - Forms Transaction page.

  1. On this page, you can record a Forms transaction test and verify it.

Click Help for more information regarding this page.
