Displaying RCA Details

You can display additional details related to a specific run of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including the steps taken and any exceptions encountered during the RCA run.

To display RCA details, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Service Home page of the service you want to view.

  2. If RCA causes are shown under the Possible Causes of Service Failure heading, click on Root Cause Analysis Details.

  3. Click Previous Updates to view updated information about past outages in the form of an analysis summary. The Previous Updates page summarizes the number of updates available, the time of the most recent update, and the current status of the service analysis.

  4. Click a message in the Causes of Failure table to display the alert details for that specific cause.

  5. View the Analysis Summary section to display the step-by-step analysis that RCA performed for the current RCA run. You can expand or collapse the list of steps. If the steps include the analysis of a subservice, then an icon appears in the Details column.
