Deploying User-Defined Metrics Across Large Numbers of Targets

Enterprise Manager allows you to deploy User-Defined Metrics accross a large number of targets by taking advantage of the Monitoring Templates.

Create a User-Defined metric on a target.
Deploy the OS script for the User-Defined Metric to each of the destination targets.
Create a Monitoring Template based on the monitoring settings of that target.
Apply the Monitoring Template to multiple targets.
