The Oracle Management Service (OMS) is a web application deployed on an instance of Oracle Application Server J2EE and Web Cache 9.0.3.
Check the status of the Oracle Management Services and ensure the Management Services are up and running and loading efficiently.
To check the status of the Management Services:
From the Enterprise Manager Console, click Setup.
Note: Only certain privileged users will have access to the Management System tab. See About Privileges for Accessing the Management System Tab for more information.
Click Management Services and Repository.
The Management Services page shows the status (up or down) and performance (load processing) of any Management Services in the environment.
Clicking a single Management Service will bring you to a Management Service homepage. From the Management Service homepage, clicking a metric detail will bring you to a metrics detail page. To obtain more details on a particular metric that is being monitored for the Management Service, you can drilldown and see charts and graphs and more information on the metric over time. Click Help on that metric detail page if you want to view a description, the data source, and user action for the specific metric.
Click Help from the Management Services subtab if you want information about the Status, Last Error, Loader Throughput, Total Loader Runtime Last Hour, Data Pending Load, Load Directory, and Oldest File to Load columns.
The Status column shows the Up or Down condition of the Management Services.
The Loader Throughput column shows the output of the loader which pushes metric data into the repository. If the output of the loader is low (critical threshold is 1 and warning threshold is 10), and there is data pending load, there might be a bottleneck.
The Data Pending Load column shows the number of files in the directory waiting to be loaded into the repository. If the number is high, then a bottleneck exists. The number may be high if the Management Service has been down for a while and the Oracle Management Agent is still running.
