A target's compliance score in a policy group is used to reflect the degree of the target's conformance with that policy group. The compliance score is in the range of 0% to 100% inclusive. A compliance score of 100% indicates a target fully complies with the policy group.
During an evaluation, for each rule in a policy group, a target is found to be compliant or non-compliant with that rule. Furthemore, as part of its definition, each rule is assigned an importance level that denotes how important this rule is relative to other rules in the policy group.
The compliance score is computed by:
Determining a normalized weight for each rule. This is accomplished by considering whether or not the target complied with the rule.
The rule's importance level.
