Compliance can be measured in a variety of ways. One way is to ensure conformance of a system's configuration to a standard.
Policy Groups are benchmarks by which targets are assessed or evaluated. These policy groups:
Can represent industry-wide standards
Be used as a reference configuration or a certified configuration
Be a collection of rules describing best practices in an enterprise
For example, when a target fails to adhere to a policy group, the target is not in compliance with the policy group.
Consider performing the following:
Schedule evaluations of the targets
Study the results of the evaluations
Make the needed changes to the targets
Evaluate the target again
To learn how to schedule the evaluation of a target against a policy group, see Adding, Editing, and Deleting Scheduled Evaluations.
