Enterprise Manager Clone Oracle Home allows you to clone an Oracle home to one or more destination hosts.
Clone Oracle Home application allow you to choose the source type of the Oracle home that you want to clone. You can either search for Installed Oracle Homes or the Oracle homes that have been packaged into the Software Library (using the Provisioning application.)
The Software Library is an infrastructure for storing and retrieving files and packages. The Oracle Software Library stores various versions of the software binaries and acts as a common repository for software components, scripts, and other files that can be used by Provisioning, Cloning, and other applications. A Software library is located in the directory that you specify on the Oracle Management Service (OMS).
You can create cloning components and configure software libraries using the Provisioning application.

When you select Software Libraries as the Source Type in the Source Home page, all the component (database, iAS, Oracle Clusterware) homes packaged in the software library that are in the "Active" state (only) will be displayed.
Note: After creating the required clone components, you must manually activate them To do this:
Go to the Components page in the Provisioning application under Deployments.
Select the required components and click Activate.
Important: In a scenario where an OMS is clustered across multiple hosts, ensure the software library archive directory is also NFS mounted (set to a shared location.)
If this directory is not shared, and the job execution request goes to a host that does not have access to the software library archive directory, the cloning job will fail.
