Use the Alert Details page to acknowlege or view information for a selected alert.
On this page, you can:
View alert-specific information: Metric, Severity, Timestamp, whether the alert was Acknowledged by an administrator, who the alert was Acknowledged by, and any Messages associated with the alert.
Access Service and Root Cause Analysis information if an alert is triggered as the result of a service status fault.
Information shown on this page varies depending on the nature of the alert.
You can append administrator comments to the alert via the New Comment text entry field.
You can drill down to specific target home pages by clicking on the target name.
Click Refresh to update the alert information.
If the alert is triggered because of a service status fault, then the Cause of Service Failure table appears containing a list of causes identified by Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The Root Cause Analysis Details link allows you to navigate to the Root Cause Analysis Details page, which shows the context of the service status failure that initiated the RCA, run time, and the total number of runs for this service failure.
If the target triggering the alert is a key system component, and is identified as the cause of service faults, then the Services Impacted by Failure table appears listing all dependent services impacted by the component. The Details link for each table entry takes you to the Alert Details page for that particular service status fault.
The Acknowledge button is only shown if the alert is open (alert status is either Warning or Critical).
