Use the Policies page to associate policies to this target. The initial policies that are set for this target can be removed, and new policies added either from the Policy Library or another target of the the same type. Once added, the policy settings can be modified.
On this page, you can:
Remove existing or add new policies to a target.
Customize policies already associated with a target.
Basic information for each policy is shown in the table. You can view detailed information for specific policies by clicking on the "i" icon located at the end of the policy description. Not all policies have associated online help.
You can change the collection schedule of the policy by clicking on the value in the Schedule column to go to the Edit Policy Rule Settings page for that policy.
For each policy added, you can override default settings by editing the policy rule by clicking on the pencil in the Edit column.
For a policy that relies on an event-driven Management Repository metric, you can click on the Event-Driven link in the Collection Schedule column to view an informational page that lists all Agent-side metrics on which the Management Repository metric associated with the policy is based. You can change the collection information for any of the listed Agent-side metrics.
If you add a policy that relies on a particular metric, this metric will not be added to the Metric Thresholds table. In this situation, it is the collection of the metric upon which the policy relies that matters and not the metric's threshold settings.
You must have at least OPERATOR privilege on a taraget in order to make changes. Without OPERATOR priviledge, the content of the Policies table will be read-only. After making changes on this page, you must click the OK button to upload the new policy settings tot he Management Repository.
