Create Image: Add Components page

Use this page to select the components to be included in the new Image that you are creating. You can also add other required components from here, as well as decide on the order in which these components should be installed.

Usage Tips

In the Select Components part of the page, select a component type (Hardware Profile/Disk Layout/Operating System) and click Choose Component to select the appropriate components for that component type.

Note: The Select Components heading lists three component types that are mandatory for every image.

You can also add other components (besides the three mandatory ones), by clicking Add Another Row, under Add Components. The Linux Provisioning application creates system-generated default component types (names) for you. The order in which they are displayed in the table also indicates the order that the components will be installed in. You can change this order.

To change the order of precedence, select the required component, and click Move Up or Move Down, accordingly.

You can select a component type, and click Edit Properties to modify the component configuration details, as required.
