Adding Privileges to XML Database Resources

Oracle XML database maintains object-level security for all resources in the Oracle XML database repository. This uses an access control list mechanism to restrict access to any Oracle XML database resource or database object mapped to the repository. An access control list is a list of access control entries that determine which principals have access to a given resource.

To add privileges to an XML database resource:

1. Navigate to the Database target and click Administration.

   The Database Administration page is displayed.

2. Click Resources under XML Database.

   The XML Database Resources Search page is displayed.

3. Click Create or Edit on the XML Database Resources page

4. Fill in any necessary information in the General tab.

5. Click the Security tab.

   The XML Database Resources Security page is displayed. Use that page to add privileges. Click Help on that page if you need more information.
