The Oracle Enterprise Manager Topology Viewer allows you to visually see the relationships between components, nodes, or objects within different Oracle applications. You can zoom, pan, see selection details and summary information, and expand/collapse aggregate components. Individually distinct icons are used for each target type, and standardized visual indicators are used across all applications.
The Cluster Topology page offers two views. In one view, a high-level topology appears in which the hierarchy consists of only one interconnect, one or more cluster databases, one or more listeners, and one or more database instances. In the other view, the topology shows all targets for all hosts, with each host appearing as its own self-contained and separate topology.
To view cluster topology, follow these steps:
Ensure that configuration data for the database is collected.
Identify the databases to be monitored and managed.
From the Targets menu, click Databases.
From the Databases page, select the cluster database and navigate to the Cluster Database Home page.
From the Cluster menu, select Topology.
View the database components along with dependent entities. Hover over the entity to view entity details, status, and alerts.
In the View menu, select:
System Members to view all members in the database system
Depends On to view database entities with depend on relationships
Used By to view resources used by the cluster
System Members by Host to view system members for each host
Click Cluster Host View to view cluster host topology. You can select to view Cluster Graph or Cluster Database Graph and select the Cluster Database for which you want to view the topology details. From the Cluster Host view, you can go back to Configuration Topology view.
Click Options and select:
Expand All to view all entities and relationships in detail.
Collapse All to view high-level entity relationships.
Reload Topology to refresh the topology details.
For specific information about viewing cluster topology, click the Help link in the Cluster Topology page.
The Cluster Database Topology page enables you to visually see the relationships between target types for each host of your cluster database. You can view a single image of the database over multiple systems in a cluster.
To view cluster database topology, select the Topology tab from the Cluster Database Home page. For specific information about viewing cluster database topology, click the Help link in the Cluster Database Topology page.
