Use this wizard to add a database or remove existing standby database, ASM instance, or listeners. You can add or remove ASM cluster as well.
Follow these steps to create/edit a database system:
Log into Grid Control. From All Targets menu, select Systems.
In the Systems page, select Database System and click Add.
In the General page, specify a name and select a database. Provide System Properties such as Contact, Department, Line of Business, Location, and Lifecycle Status. Click Next.
In the Members page, the standby databases, ASM instances, and listeners associated with the database are displayed.
The Standby Database Associations table lists standby databases associated with the selected database. You can add associations to any standby databases that were not automatically identified. You can also remove any unwanted or incorrect associations.
The Database Storage Associations table lists database storage targets associated with the selected database. You can add associations to database storage that was not automatically identified. You can also remove associations with unwanted or incorrect database storage targets.
The Listener Associations table lists listeners associated with the selected database or ASM targets. You can add associations with listeners if the association was not automatically identified. You can remove any unwanted or incorrect associations. For cluster database and cluster ASM targets, the listener association should be added or removed from instances.
Click Next.
In the Review page, review the information you have provided and click Finish to create the Database System.
