Compliance scores provide an overall evaluation of your target’s compliance to policies defined in your enterprise. Compliance scores are presented as a percentage of compliance. For example, a compliance score of 100% indicates full compliance with a policy rule. The lower the compliance score, the worse is the target's compliance to policies.
There are two types of compliance scores: policy compliance scores and target compliance scores.
Accessing a Policy's Compliance Score
On the target's home page, click the links located in the Policy Violations section. The resulting Policy Violations page lists the Compliance Score (%) for the particular policy rule as it relates to the target.
Accessing a Target's Compliance Score
On the target's home page, look in the Policy Violations section for the compliance score for that target. The target compliance score is the mathematical average of all the policy compliance scores in the target. Then click Policy Trend Overview to analyze the individual policy statistics. Click Help on the Policy Trend Overview page for additional information.
Note: Every evaluation of a policy rule determines a compliance score.
A compliance score provides the following advantages.
As a single measurement of compliance, the compliance score allows you to compare targets to determine which target needs the most attention; that is, the one with the lowest compliance score. You can perform this type of comparison using individual target home pages such as the ones available through the Targets tab.
For a given target, provides a basis for historical tracking of compliance status. For example, from the Policy Trend Overview page, you can view what type of trend a target’s compliance score has had over a specific period of time. If there is a noticeable downward trend, you would most likely want to investigate what is causing the score to worsen.
