You can use Enterprise Manager to see whether the targets in your enterprise configuration are complying with policy rules for the target type. Note that policy rules do not exist for all target types.
You can access the Policy Violations page as follows:
Navigate to the Enterprise Manager Grid Control Home page. The links in the All Targets Policy Violations section display the number of policy violations for the grid control. Click the link associated with a particular severity to display the policy violations associated with that particular severity.
Navigate to the Home page for a target. The links after the Policy Violations Current field display the number of policy violations for the target. Click the link to display the Policy Violations page for the target.
Note: You can access this page from any link that shows a violation count.
On the Policy Violations page:
Use either the Simple Search or Advanced Search criteria section to view only those policy violations that meet a set of search criteria that you specify. For example, by providing the appropriate information in the search criteria fields, you can view the violations for all targets, some targets, or a target.
The results of each search are displayed in the results table. In the results table, you can view the rule violations that have not been suppressed or view all the violations for the targets that matched your search criteria.
Click the link in the Violation Count column for a particular policy rule to display the Policy Violation Details page for that rule, which displays detailed information about the target's individual violations of that rule, an assessment of the impact of the violation, and a recommendation for fixing the violation. On the Policy Violation Details page, you can view the rule violations that have not been suppressed or view all the violations for the target. Also, you can optionally set violations to be suppressed or clear violations that are set to be suppressed for the target.
