Each target you manage has an Enterprise Manager Home Page. From this home page, you can launch the tools you need to monitor and manage the target.
For example, from a Host home page you can quickly find details about the host hardware, as well as the operating system version. You can review key host performance metrics, such as the CPU and memory utilization, check for alerts, and view a list of the managed targets installed on the host.
When you are troubleshooting a problem (for example, responding to an alert), your first task should be to identify the target where the problem originates and display the target home page. From the home page, you can obtain more information about the cause and the resolution of the problem.
Some home pages can provide information about multiple targets. For example, a database group home page can provide you with high-level information about two or more databases that you have organized into a group. Group home pages allow you to manage a group of targets as one management entity.
