The Export to Files wizard enables you to move existing data in Oracle format to and from Oracle databases. For example, export files can archive database data or move data among different Oracle databases that run on the same or different operating systems. The Export to Files wizard can back up logical database objects while the database is open and available for use. It writes a read-consistent view of the database's objects to an operating system file. System audit options are not exported.
To export to a file, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Database Home page.
On the Data Movement tab, click Export to Export Files in the Move Row Data section.
The Export wizard screens appear, beginning with the Export Type page. Work your way through the steps, entering the type of export you want to perform (database, user, or table), the options to designate, and the full path and name for the export files.
Click the Submit Job button.
Click Help for more information about exporting files.
