Create/Edit Net Service Alias Page

Use the Net Service Alias page to create a net service alias. An alias is an alternate name for a service. You can create aliases for almost any net service name or database service in an Oracle context. You can rename the alias name later by changing the value in the Net Service Alias Name field.

For more information about net service aliases, see the chapter "Configuration Management Concepts" in the Oracle Net Services Administrator's Guide.

Referenced Service Detail

For more information about defining the Oracle context within the directory server, see the section "Exporting Local Naming and Oracle Names Entries to a Directory Naming" in the chapter "Configuring Naming Methods" in the Oracle Net Services Administrator's Guide.
