Use this page to provide required host credentials, directory service credentials, or credentials for a password-enabled service.
When logging into a host, enter a host username, and password for an account with the required privileges for managing your network configuration files. For example, this user should have write access to the configuration files in the Oracle home.
You can also use preferred credentials to save your login credentials for the selected Oracle home. For more information, see About Preferred Credentials.
When logging in to a directory service—for example, if you are managing directory naming for your net services—enter the distinguished name (DN) in the username field. The distinguished name specifies where an entry resides in a directory server hierarchy, just like a directory path which specifies the exact location of a file.
For example, to use the default Oracle Internet Directory administrator account,
enter cn=orcladmin as the username, and welcome as
the default password.
For more information about using the directory service, see the Oracle Internet Directory Administrator's Guide.
