Listener - Home Page

Use the Listener Home page to view general, and status information about the listener, and to access tools to configure, manage, and analyze listener performance.

Usage Tips

General Listener Information

In this section, you can view address details about the listener, as well as availability, and status. The following table lists some of the fields to which you should pay close attention:

Description

Status

The current status of the listener. Options are Started, Up, or Stopped.
Availability
Percent availability of the listener in the past 24 hours.
Alias
The alias of the listener.
Version
The listener version.
Oracle Home
Full path to the Oracle Home.
Net address
Address information, including—where applicable—the host name, protocol, port number, or IPC key.
listener.ora location
Full path to the listener.ora configuration file for this listener.
Start time
Time, and date when the listener was last started.
Host
Host name for the listener.

Reviewing the State of the Listener

The State section of the page provides information regarding the response time of the listener, and the number of users who have attempted to connect to the listener, and whether their attempts were successful.

To display more details, click the current metric value. Click Help on the Metric Detail page for specific information about the metric.
