Accessing the Enterprise Users Page

Enterprise Manager requires you to log in to Oracle Internet Directory before you can configure Enterprise User Security. This is because enterprise users are stored in the directory.

To access the Enterprise Users page:

  1. Log in to Enterprise Manager.

  2. Click the Server tab. For Enterprise Manager Grid Control, navigate to the database that you want to manage, and then click the Server tab.

  3. Under the Security section, click Enterprise User Security.

    The Oracle Internet Directory Login page appears.

  4. Log in to Oracle Internet Directory as a directory user who can administer enterprise users. Enter the following values:

    • User: Enter the distinguished name (DN) of the directory user account, for example, cn=orcladmin,cn=Users,dc=us,dc=abc,dc=com. You can also use the Search icon to search for the user.

    • Password: Enter the password for the directory user account

    • Host: The host on which the directory server is running, for example, dlsun235.us.abc.com

    • Port: The LDAP port number on which the Oracle Internet Directory server is listening. This is usually 389, or 636 in case you are using SSL.

    • Realm: Select the identity management realm if the user can manage more than one identity management realms.

  5. Click Login.

    The Enterprise User Security page appears.

  6. Click Configure Enterprise Users.

    The Configure Enterprise Users page appears.
