The Services Dashboard displays three types of metrics:
Status: Indicates whether a service is up, down, or unknown at a given point in time.
Performance: The response time users experience when accessing the service. It is possible to have multiple response time measurements if the service access involves multiple steps or the service provides multiple business functions. Examples: Query response time or transaction creation time.
Usage and Business Indicators: Usage measures the user demand for the service. Examples: Number of orders processed by an order entry service or number of users accessing a service. Business metrics measure the performance of business in an organization. Business metrics are displayed only if one or more key business indicators are associated with the service. For more information on defining the business indicators, refer to About Data Exchange.
You can drill down to more detailed information by clicking on specific dashboard links.
Service: View the service's target home page where you can see high-level service information such as General Availability, Alerts, or Host Alerts. You must have at least VIEW privileges on the target.
Status: View the operational status for the service and its components, the Availability History for all components, and any Alerts (availability, performance, and usage) that have been triggered.
Performance: View time series charts detailing the response time users experience when accessing the service.
Usage and Business Indicators : View time series charts and alerts detailing usage and business indicators for a service.
Components: View the operational status for the service and its components. A pie chart containing the component status, and component status summary along with total numbers of components in Up, Down, and Unknown status is displayed.
Service Level: View the Service Level statistics
