Building a SOAP Request

Use this page to select the Web service operation that will be tested using the SOAP request by performing these steps:

Select a Port Type from the drop-down list. A list of supported operations is displayed.
Select an operation from the list. This operation will be used to test the service request.
Enter values for the input parameters that will be used to call the selected operation.
Optionally, specify the authentication credentials that will be used to access the selected Web service. The Agent uses these credentials to access the Web service periodically.
Specify the SOAP Endpoint. By default, the address of the selected Port Type is displayed.

Usage Notes

A Port Type is a collection of operations. Each Port Type has its own URL and a set of operations that can be invoked.
The SOAP Endpoint is used by the beacon to invoke the SOAP request.
