Baseline Statistics Visualization Page

Use the Baseline Statistics Visualization page to view the data distribution of a metric relative to its usage pattern. The data distribution that appears on this page is based on the metric you selected in the Manage Adaptive Thresholds page.

Measured Percentiles vs. Estimated Percentiles

Estimated percentiles are provided because too many data points would be needed to provide measured percentiles beyond the 99th percentile. These percentile values cannot be observed, but they can be estimated through extrapolation.

For example, suppose a metric has a value of 4583 as its 95th percentile and a value of 5370 as its 99th percentile. However, since there are only 200 data points for this metric, it is impossible to observe a 99.9th or a 99.99th percentile. Consequently, extreme percentiles must be estimated based on the projected set of data.
