Monitoring the Management Services

The Oracle Management Service (OMS) is a web application deployed on an instance of Oracle Application Server J2EE and Web Cache 9.0.3.

Check the status of the Oracle Management Services and ensure the Management Services are up and running and loading efficiently.

To check the status of the Management Services:

  1. From the Enterprise Manager Console, click Setup.

Note: Only certain privileged users will have access to the Management System tab. See About Privileges for Accessing the Management System Tab for more information.

  2. Click Management Services and Repository.

  3. Click the Management Services.

The Management Services page shows the status (up or down) and performance (load processing) of any Management Services in the environment.

Clicking a single Management Service will bring you to a Management Service homepage. From the Management Service homepage, clicking a metric detail will bring you to a metrics detail page. To obtain more details on a particular metric that is being monitored for the Management Service, you can drilldown and see charts and graphs and more information on the metric over time. Click Help on that metric detail page if you want to view a description, the data source, and user action for the specific metric.

Click Help from the Management Services subtab if you want information about the Status, Last Error, Loader Throughput, Total Loader Runtime Last Hour, Data Pending Load, Load Directory, and Oldest File to Load columns.
