Credential properties are for monitoring purpose. With credential properties, the Oracle Management Agent can establish connection to the monitored target and collect metrics information.
For security reasons, you may want to change the credentials on a monthly basis.
From the Enterprise Manager Console, click Setup.
Note: Only certain privileged Enterprise Manager administrators will have access to the Management System tab. See About Privileges for Accessing the Setup Tab for more information.
Click the Agents subtab to display a list of Oracle Management Agents installed in your enterprise.
Click on the Oracle Management Agent that is on the same machine where your targets reside.
Within the Monitored Targets section of the Oracle Management Agent Homepage that is presented, select the target, and click Configure.
On the Monitoring Configuration page, you can change credential properties (user name and password) if they are available to be changed for that target type.
If you want to set the credential properties of the target at the operating prompt, refer to Oracle Enterprise Manager Advanced Configuration for more information on using the emctl command.
