Administrators are database users that a Super Administrator defines.
The types of management tasks that the administrator is able to perform and the targets he has access to depends on the roles, System Privileges, and Target Privileges that the Super Administrator grants him.
The Super Administrator can choose to let certain administrators perform only certain management tasks, or access only certain targets, or perform certain management tasks on certain targets. In this way, the Super Administrator can divide the workload among his administrators.
Since the Enterprise Manager Administrators are database users, they can log into the Management Repository database as those users as easily as they can login to Oracle Enterprise Manager.
To create, edit, or view an administrator:
From the Enterprise Manager Grid Control, click Setup.
Click Administrators in the vertical navigation bar.
Click the appropriate task button on the Administrators page.
Enterprise Manager displays a wizard page for the task you have chosen.
Note: If you grant the administrator the Super Administrator privilege on the Properties page, you will not have to fill out the rest of the wizard pages when you are creating an administrator. A Super Administrator has all the privileges to any target in the system.
