Create Network Component: Static Page

Use this page to create a network component with static configuration for the network interfaces. You have to manually specify the configuration parameters.

Bonding

Select this option to configure bonding interfaces.

Element

Description

Network Device Name

Enter the name of the network device to be created/configured.

Logical Network Name

Enter the name of the logical network.

Host Enter the host name.
Domain Name Enter the domain name.
IP Address Enter the IP address to configure the device.
Subnet Mask Enter the subnetwork mask value.
Gateways Enter the IP address for each of the gateways.
DNS Servers Enter the IP address for each of the DNS servers.
Slave Devices List

Enter the names of the devices enslaved to the bonding interface. Add your entries separated by comma. For example, eth0, eth1

Primary Slave Device Enter the name of the primary slave device enslaved to the bonding interface.
Bonding Mode Enter the mode in which the bonding is configured. The default value is 0.
ARP Interval(arp_interval) Enter the ARP link monitoring frequency in milliseconds to detect link failures. The value you enter determines how often the link state of each slave is inspected. The default value 0 implies that ARP link monitoring is disabled.
ARP IP Target List(arp_ip_target) Enter the host list to be used for detecting link failures. Either the IP address or host name is allowed.
MII Frequency(miimon) Enter the MII link frequency in milliseconds to detect the link failures if you are not using ARP link monitoring. The default value 0 implies that MII link monitoring is disabled. .
MII Down Delay

Enter the hold-up time in milliseconds before disabling a slave if link failure is detected. This option is only valid for the miimon link monitor. The down delay value should be a multiple of the miimon value. Otherwise it is rounded off to the nearest multiple. The default value is 0.

MII Up Delay

Enter the hold-up time in milliseconds before enabling a slave if link recovery is detected. This option is only valid for the miimon link monitor. The up delay value should be a multiple of the miimon value. Otherwise it is rounded off to the nearest multiple. The default value is 0.

NonBonding

Select this option to configure non-bonding interfaces.
