Use this page to view, edit, and create new set of software components that you may want to include in an image.
The term "component" applies to any binary object or piece of software application (including the operating system software, Oracle software, and other third-party software) that is designed to perform a specific function. Typically, you will use these components and package them for provisioning. The Oracle Software Library maintains these software components.
Software versions indicate the specific version of the library entry in the deployment library. The Provisioning application increments all those software component versions every time there is a significant change in that component's properties.
You can view a list of existing software components based on the following search criteria. These values in the drop-down list help perform a search based on a combination of values.
| Version | Description |
|---|---|
| Latest Version | Search for latest version of all available components. This will retrieve the current version of all components, irrespective of their status (that is Active, or Inactive). |
| Latest Active Version | This search is a combination of version and status. This will retrieve the current version of all components that are in the Active state only. |
| Latest Mature Version | This search is a combination of version, maturity value, and status. It will retrieve the current version of all components that are in the Active state, and have the highest maturity value (Production.) |
| All Mature Versions | This search is a combination of maturity values, and status. It will retrieve components of all versions that are active, and have the highest maturity value (Production.) |
