Create Component Describe Page

Use this page to create a new component. This is the first step in the creation process. Use this first step to describe the component you are creating. The Create Component wizard will take you through the creation process (the number of steps in the wizard vary depending on the component type.) You can also choose to save the component at any point of time before completion, and return later to complete the component creation.

Usage Tips

Select the required component type from the Type drop-down list. The remaining steps in the creation wizard will depend on the type of component that you select here.
Enter an appropriate component name and description in the respective fields.

Note: The component name that you enter, must be unique to the parent folder that it resides in.

Specify the new component's product name, version, and the name of the vendor supplying this product.
